Job Purpose

The Programme Associate (Nutrition) will provide specialized support to nutrition programme activities in Cox's Bazar, ensuring effective implementation, monitoring, reporting, and coordination with government counterparts, cooperating partners, and other stakeholders. The position will contribute to improving nutrition outcomes among vulnerable populations, including refugees and host communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support planning, implementation, and monitoring of nutrition programme activities.

  • Assist in coordinating with government agencies, UN organizations, NGOs, and implementing partners.

  • Compile, analyze, and maintain programme data and reports.

  • Monitor programme performance and identify operational challenges.

  • Support capacity-building initiatives for field staff and partners.

  • Assist in beneficiary targeting, programme monitoring, and evaluation activities.

  • Prepare situation reports, donor updates, and programme documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with WFP policies, procedures, and donor requirements.

  • Participate in field visits, assessments, and coordination meetings.

  • Perform other programme-related duties as assigned by supervisors.

Educational Requirements

  • Completion of a University Degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in Nutrition, Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Food Security, Development Studies, or a related field.

  • Advanced qualifications in Nutrition or Public Health will be considered an advantage.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience in nutrition, public health, food security, humanitarian assistance, programme implementation, or related fields.

  • Experience working with UN agencies, international NGOs, or development organizations is desirable.

  • Experience in emergency or refugee response programmes will be an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.

  • Experience in programme monitoring and data management.

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and challenging environments.

  • Knowledge of nutrition programming and humanitarian operations is desirable.

Language Requirements

  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Bangla.

  • Knowledge of local languages spoken in Cox's Bazar will be considered an asset.
